On Thursday February 9th, NAMIC – Virginia met at the Cox Communications Crossways building in Chesapeake, Va. to discuss the many 2022 successes and to lay the path forward for 2023. Coming further out of the Covid pandemic, we hosted a total of 14 virtual & in-person events, panel discussions and community activities for our members. We celebrated our 5th Anniversary in May this past year. We collaborated with community partners to give back to local homeless individuals, gather school supplies for children in need, and provide volunteer opportunities at PrideFest and Juneteenth in the Park. Looking ahead, we are financially poised to continue to provide these educational, fulfilling, and engaging experiences to our members. Our plan is to expand our reach in the Richmond and Hampton Roads market, to include more Communications related members, and offer professional development through fellowship.
