Derrick Williams

Marketing and Logistics Chair

Derrick Williams is the Government Affairs Relations Sr. Analyst at Cox Virginia. Prior to his current position, he has worked in various functionalities within the company to include billing, customer service, collections, retention, and sales operations. Derrick joined Cox Communications in 2011.

Derrick is the Marketing and Logistics Chair for NAMIC – Virginia where he leads a team that supports the chapter’s media and marketing communication. At Cox Communications, Derrick is a key contributor to the employee resources groups where he serves as the Cox Momentum Market Ambassador of the East Region and the Cox Soul Ambassador of Virginia. Derrick is also a member of the Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Council at Cox where he serves on the Generational Alliance Team.

Derrick is a seasoned mentor serving as an Executive MBA Program Mentor for Regent University, a business mentor for the Virginia Workforce Innovation and Entrepreneur Center (VWIEC), a mentor for the L. Patrick Mellon Mentorship Program, and a peer mentor at Cox Communications.

Derrick is a Lead Peninsula class of 2023 candidate for graduation in June.

Derrick holds three degrees, a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Business Analytics from Regent University.

Derrick is also a licensed Real Estate Agent for the State of Virginia.

Derrick has been married for 16 years and has two girls ages 15 and 11. In Derrick’s spare time he likes to read, watch movies, travel, play board games, and spend quality time with his family.
