Gail Thorogood is an Information Technology Supervisor at Cox Communications in Virginia leading the national Business Support Systems Operations team. She is a servant leader who supports the enterprise with billing resolutions and access management. With over 27 years of experience in the cable industry, Gail has held several positions with Cox providing her with the opportunity to develop strong organizational, communication, networking and leadership skills.
Gail earned her B.S. in Applied Management from Grand Canyon University and will obtain an EMBA with the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University in June 2019. She has received a certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) as well as a Synergy Award for delivering lean process improvement solutions.
Gail is serving in the capacity as Secretary for the Virginia Chapter of the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). In addition, she is also an active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), the Diversity and Inclusion Council and Grand Canyon University Alumni.
Gail and her husband Kelvin Sr. are blessed to have two beautiful children attending college. Kelvin Jr. is currently studying Software Development at ECPI University and Kayla is studying Psychology and Biology at Old Dominion University. Her hobbies include traveling and reading. She is also a member of Volunteer Hampton Roads and eagerly dedicates her time to service. She lives by this motto, “Only a life lived in the service to others is worth living” ~ Albert Einstein.
