Gail Thorogood is an Information Technology Supervisor at Cox Communications in Virginia leading the national Business Support Systems Operations team. She is a servant leader who supports the enterprise with billing resolutions and access management. With over 29 years of experience in the cable industry, Gail has held several positions with Cox providing her with the opportunity to develop strong organizational, communication, networking and leadership skills.
Gail earned her B.S. in Applied Management from Grand Canyon University and will obtain an EMBA with the Jack Welch Management Institute at Strayer University. She is currently pursuing her DBA at Capella University. She is also ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certified.
Gail is serving in the capacity as Secretary for the Virginia Chapter of the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). In addition, she is also an active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).
Gail and her husband Kelvin Sr. are blessed to have two beautiful children. Her hobbies include traveling with her family and reading. She is also a member of Volunteer Hampton Roads and eagerly dedicates her time to service. She lives by this motto, “Only a life lived in the service to others is worth living” ~ Albert Einstein.
